I’ll be out of the office the next two weeks, so expect the blog to be a bit quiet.
Wangxiang Tuxing on the Twinity Lounge from a few weeks ago
We got some very fair constructive criticism from a Twinity member over at Wangxiang’s blog. I’ll summarize some of his points:
- We at Metaversum have a lot to learn from these events
- The objective of the event needs to be better defined; he thinks they should be general q&a sessions
- The 1900 time is not ideal
- The locations need to be bigger
- The mixed voice/chat was confusing – pick one, and voice probably isn’t ideal for a meeting like this because you don’t know who’s talking
Wangxiang – you are right, we have a lot to learn. Thank you for your feedback!
Twinity on the sledlist
Just a quick pointer. And to answer the points discussed there, yes, this functionality, and much more, is coming!
Twinity Happy Easter Bash
Dear Twinizen,
It’s Easter time and we want to celebrate the arrival of spring with you in Twinity! Join us on Thursday, 13 March at 19:00 (CET) at Happy Easter Bash, Berlin for our Happy Easter Bash!
Our Happy Easter Bash includes daffodils for everyone and an Easter egg hunt! When you get to the party, look for these instructions to help you find colored Easter eggs and win a neat prize!
- Count the number of eggs in the garden.
- Find LARS or AKIRA and send a private message telling us the number of eggs you find
- If correct, you’ll receive a clue!
- The clues will lead you to fabulous Easter items in Twinity! Your prize will be hidden in a secret location in the library. Lars or Akira will tell you the information you need to find it. Then hop around the party with your new Easter items!
As always, Twinity Support will be there to answer questions, get feedback, dance with you and be merry!

Here come the Germans
Just a quick mention of Twinity, but it tickled me. 🙂
Twinity first impressions on RCE
Here is the link. For the outdoors, the Globals and other things, we haven’t announced details yet, but there is more to come in those areas…
Twinity group now on Flickr
Here is the link. It was created by one of our beta members. Just one quick note, the company behind Twinity is Metaversum GmbH, not Multiversum.
Thanks for setting this up, it’s very cool! 🙂
Brief mention of Twinity in Spiegel Online
Included in an interview. We’re just mentioned as a competitor of Second Life.
Of course, calling us a competitor is kind of difficult, as Philip points out. Each world mentioned there has its own focus.
Clarification on Welcome Area
In the release notes sent around earlier today, I mentioned that one highlight of yesterday’s release was the Welcome Area. Some have noticed that there isn’t really much new in the Welcome Area, just some new items and content. This is correct and I should have been clearer. The point is that you now enter Twinity by going first to the Welcome Area, and not to the Lobby as before. We’ll have a nice, new, shiny Welcome Area in the next little bit.
