we just released another Wednesday-Patch with a number of improvements:
1. Now you can upload pictures to your profile. They show up in Game and on Twinity.com. This way you can share your best screenshots easily with other members or with a click of a button on Facebook:
2. We optimized the profile window, so now you can edit your slogan directly from the client, and access all important information about a member easily in one place:
3. Following a request from Ayman we added Arabic character support to our chat windows
4. Following a request from Prof we enabled naked male torsos in public places
5. We hopefully fixed a rare bug with private messages sent by blocked users reported by Mish
6. The “enable chat animation” setting now also enables the automatic idle animations and therefore is called “enable automatic animations”
7. A bug with the knock system discovered by Sweetpea was fixed
Our dear Twinizens show us the love in many different ways, sometimes inworld and some others throughout the Internet! We love to read your impressions on what is great and what could be even better in Twinity and we also like to see you taking initiatives like Twiniversity or Fred’s Twinity Guide for Spanish speakers. – Twinity Art, managed by Vlad, is the place to find the finest pieces of art produced by Twinizens. Poetry, photography, decoration or machinima, you will find very creative Twinizens around!
– Fred comes from Spain and decided to set up an starting guide for any Spanish speaker user in Twinity. You can find not only the basics but also the most advanced information about how to create in Twinity and gallery pictures with updated news of what is going on in world.
– Alexandra in Berlin blog is all about the passion for Berlin’s History and urban adventures. Combined with Alexandra’s different locations and museums in world it is a great way to learn about he past and present of Twinity’s first city.
– Swapnil’s thoughts highlights the events, activities and shops in Twinity that Swapnil attends and photographs. So far he has been amazed about the virtual Berlin Wall, the Twinicars shop and its Leopard car, Twinity’s Vampire Village and the recent concert of Rashklaw in Miami Beach.
– Ayman is a great student of Carolyn’s Twiniversity and did his homework! He took the time to collect all the great resources explained during the Twiniversity events in Twinity and made them available online for any Twinizen searching for the best tips. Check it out!
– Hexzieo‘s RL vs TL blog recounts the craziest thoughts and experiences of Hexzieo both in Real Life and in Twinity. Call it hilarious, brutally honest or disturbing, in any case fascinating 🙂

we just released a minor Twinity Update with the following changes:
1. A new system of idle animations. If you leave your female avatar alone for a while, she will get bored and do some nice moves. Just watch and enjoy. Animations for male avatars will be coming soon.
2. Several bugfixes for the chat system. Scrolling works correctly now, the coloring and grouping of messages is improved and a bug with certain special characters that were causing problems in the chat was fixed.
3. A problem reported by Laura that causes some chairs not to be seatable was fixed.
4. A problem reported by Laurenco about wrong display of VIP discount was fixed.

we just released another update to the Twinity client. It includes the following changes:
1. We rewrote a lot of the chat display code to improve the performance and reduce the memory consuption of the chat system. The client should get less laggy if you chat a lot.
2. We reworked the member profile page:
– There are new status fields to tell a bit more about yourself and what you are looking for. You can change them directly in the client
– The information in the window has been re-organized to show the most relevant things on top
– We are currently adding a picture gallery for your profile (which is not included in this release)
3. Also we fixed several major bugs:
– The message counters in the main bar are working again
– The progress bar in the main task bar is working again
– The names are displayed correctly in the main task bar
– Statistics are showing correctly in the profile window

Update: We found one issue in the patch:
– If you scroll the mouse-wheel in the 3d world it will scroll the chat window at the same time. (It’s already corrected in our development version and will be part of the next patch)
we are in the process of releasing a new patch for Twinity.
It contains several bugfixes and a major refresh for the places menu.
The places menu now highlights the most intersting places in Twinity with large buttons and makes it easier to access owned and favorite places. We removed the city-filters as we had the impression they were not all that useful. Instead you now can directly access the most interesting city places by clicking “Explore cities”.
We will adapt the places in the different categories over time. We are open to add user-places, if they are high quality and interesting, but we want to keep the overall number of choices low. Especially new users should find interesting stuff in Twinity with two clicks.
Another interface change is, that the mini-map-icon is now only visible in city places and in cities. The mini-map did not have any useful information in other places so we decided to hide it there.
The bugfixes included in this patch are:
– It is now possible to wear gifted VIP items
– The position and size of windows is stored correctly
– Some changed to text in the interface
– We can now offer VIP objects and animations (not only clothes)
Right now, we are un-hiding a ton of new cool VIP-items in the shop. The Shop Manager will update you on what is available soon. In addition to all the bug-fixes and improvements mentioned in the previous blog post we also added two little things:
1. If you send a postcard to Facebook from the client you will get a little reward (15 Globals per upload, once a day)
2. We optimized many database requests, so now you get faster results if you open the Places menu and the Community menus.
As there was also quite a bit of code cleanup (especially in the parts for gifting, buying, logging in, friend handling), I really hope we did not break anything. Please let us know using “Send feedback” if you spot new bugs. Next update is already in the pipeline: yet another update to our places menu, that will make it faster and easier to use and will show top Twinity places more prominent.
the next Twinity update is scheduled for Wednesday 10th of August and it comes full of fixes and new additions!
Things that will be solved:
– The public chat history window will appear open by default for new members
– You will again be able to teleport to anyone within the same place as usual
– The strange – signs between chat smileys in speech bubbles will no longer appear
– The Access Pass sign will be hidden if the name is also hidden
– The list of places sorted by ratings will display them in the correct order
– The teleport to places using the minimap will work properly again
– The video jukebox will not display the exception that many of you reported
Apart from bringing back the Achievements button to the interface and making the loading of your friends list faster, this update also introduces the VIP Pass that will maximize your Twinity experience. As we informed you in the presentation events of this new feature, the VIP Pass comes with 300 Globals monthly, it will allow you to buy with a 5% discount in all the items sold by Twinity, it will give you access to exclusive items such as VIP clothes, animations or floorplan templates and will also allow you to edit the colour of your name. a long awaited feature finally arrives to Twinity! Starting this weekend the new Access Pass will be available on the Twinity website. That means from now on people that you meet in Twinity will have the possibility to show that they are above 18. A special icon above the avatar displays that you are Access Pass holder. Places and items rated as adult with the red triple x will be only available for Twinizens with the Access Pass and only them will be able to receive adult items as gift. Remember that as stated time ago, this pass is a one time only payment!
