Just wanted to remind you that we’ll be doing data center maintenance for much of the day. As such, Twinity will be offline approximately from 9am CET until 6pm CET. That’s 3PM to midnight Singapore time and 3AM to noon Eastern Standard Time in the US.

On Monday, August 3rd, we will be upgrading our servers which will result in an extended downtime. The upgrade will begin at 9am and run until 8pm (CET). Unfortunately, Twinity will not be online during this timeframe. We appreciate your patience and understanding as this upgrade will greatly improve scalability.

Another thing that’s really awesome in this game is the animations. Animations like dancing can be purchased from the shop too, and clicking on them lets your avatar do some really cool moves. The amount of detail that must be needed to animate all these is really astonishing.

This evening we will be doing an update to Twinity beginning at 18:00 and running until 19:00 (CET). This update will require some server downtime so please be aware that it will not be possible to login during this timeframe. Some nice, new features come with this release and here is a short summary of what is included:
– Ability to give Globals as gift
– Ability to chose additional cities at login screen
– Improved places menu with filters for activity and locality (based upon current city)
– Improved place information and settings
– Implemented tab order for postcards and mail

Probably a lot of you have noticed that some things on www.twinity.com aren’t working properly at the moment. We ran into a few unexpected problems when we upgraded Rails. We’ve been working hard on fixing all the issues, and most should be done by end of week.
