Twinizens – be neighbors!

I really loved this post from the Twinity Monitor about getting a sense of neighborhoods in Twinity.

I think it’s time for people to kind of break out of that habit and treat moving into an area in the same way you would in real life. Offline you’d never just move into a street without wondering who lives in the apartment above and below you or in the building next door; you’d probably say hello just once. Even if you kind of keep to yourself and aren’t all that sociable, curiosity would cause you to at least try to find out who lives in your building and neighborhood.

Why not do the same in Twinity– try to learn more about your virtual neighbors and, if you’re not too shy, even introduce yourself? When you move into an apartment, click on your own building directory to see who lives there.

Today Kyoko was our special guest/tour guide in the Singapore Tour! Kyoko lives now in Singapore but before that, she spent a few months in Berlin and she misses the german capital terribly!

She showed us some hidden parts of Singapore and one of her favourite malls: the Plaza Singapura. Thanks Kyoko!

We found Nosferatu in Mission Mansion helping Princess Lilly with her upcoming event and we were amazed with Nosferatu’s latest design! She made her dress by herself and the result looks great! If you would also like to create your own clothes, click here!

Mac users – luck with Parallels?

We’ve been working on different solutions for running Twinity on a Mac OS X operating system. We’ve heard recently that Parallels would be an option. We’ve run a few tests successfully here at Metaversum. I wanted to ask if other Twinizens have given this a try, and what experiences they had. The best results we had were with Mac folder sharing turned off. This seems to allow the 3D assets to be downloaded and rendered more smoothly from the local virtual disk. Any comments welcome below!
